The Journey so far… on-going Projects…
By the grace of God and the with generosity of members and partners we have been able embark on various projects to help the poor and needy.
Our work focuses on the establishment and support of five initiatives; feeding, healthcare, clothing/shelter, educational and Christian counselling.

A meal a day programme
This project was established to combat the ever-increasing problem of hunger and malnutrition amongst the poor. The Deborah initiative provides a nutritious meal in the evenings for less privileged children to minimize the risk of going to bed hungry.
We started initially, in a slum neighbourhood in Sangotedo, then moved to Ogombo near Ajah where we used the premises of a Redeemed Christian church of God to feed about 70 needy children between 2-14 years three times a week. These children are normally instructed in the word of God briefly, including a session of praise and worship before their meals.
The success of the programme can be partly attributed to God’s grace and our working hand in hand with a local parish within the community to ensure good quality of the food and to monitor the number of times the children are fed each week.

Projects currently running
We began feeding 250 to 300 children three times a week in Makoko, a water-logged slum neighbourhood in Lagos situated by the third mainland Bridge, but due to the high cost of living and limited funds we have had to reduce the number of times we feed them to now twice a week. We would love to return to feeding these children 3 times week among other things as our funds improve.
You may notice from our video clips, that we not only feed their tummies, but we attempt to nourish their spirits through the word of God. Our feeding sessions are normally accompanied with a brief exhortation, prayers and spiritual songs/choruses in worship to our Creator and Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Truly it is a rewarding experience to put smiles on the face of hungry children in these poverty-stricken areas of our community. We pray that you will to be a partaker of this blessing through your support. A lot of the children do not go to school and many come to the feeding center shabbily dressed without shoes. We plan in the near future, to arrange
with the relevant authorities to ensurecd that they not only go to school, but also make health care accessible and other medicare projects.

Some of our past activities
Areas Boys under the Bridge
Our activities, in the past involved feeding and supporting on two Sundays a month the Area
Boys who were mainly homeless. This was done hand in hand with the Peculiar People’s parish of RCCG, Victoria Island.
End of year visits to the Prison and supporting some widows in need.
